Question about Clothing for Picture

I got so many different info from different people about the dress code for picture day.

So I checked the blog and it said "black top and dark color jeans."

And I want to make sure my understanding is correct.

So "black top" means any kind of top, as long as it is black, is ok?

(black t-shirt, black dress shirt, black polo shirt?)

and for "dark jeans," i assume it should be nice jeans.

so no rips, no mix colors, or any of other sorts?
